I came across a molecular biology article about splicing RNA within the nucleus, where the intron is excised, and the eons are then spliced together. For someone in this field it is it is just beginning of may possibilities. For me I had to laugh when I stopped to think about where this could lead (based on what little I understand). In this piece I tried to beautifully depict what I imagine when reflecting on molecular biology and where spirituality fits in to that thought.

It was fascinating to read that the ancient Tantra beliefs can be fused with science. This photo collage was inspired from the following:
"For Tantra, all of the myriad energy forms in the universe -- gravity, nuclear cohesion, electromagnetism -- exist throughout the cosmos. Scientifically speaking, the universe is a gigantic continuum ranging from sub-atomic to astronomical dimensions. Tantrists have perceived this unity for over thirty-five centuries,"

Learning that there was a movement that focuses on preserving, evoking, reviving and downloading human consciousness, The Terasem Movement, I could not stop myself from imagining the concept of our minds taking on two "forms" one internal and one external.

This photo collage was created from the sculpture NETEUGENICS I that was provoked by the headline: The future of net-eugenics. Now that many people approve the elimination of certain genetically defective fetuses, is society closer to screening all fetuses for all known mutations?

The camera settings were intentionally set to misread the 3 different light sources to create an effect of extreme warm and cool colors. Through this method the sculpture takes on an other-worldly enviornment.

"The outputs of our fingertips, taste buds and olfactory nerves are electronic signals that can be interpreted by software in the same manner as are sound waves and light signals." -Martine Rothblatt

Robots being the drivers of inequality is the idea that provoked this collage.
"As we look forward from this point, we need to keep in mind that this technology is going to continue to accelerate, so I think there's every reason to believe it's going to become the primary driver of inequality in the future, and things are likely to get even more extreme than they are now." Rise of the Robots, - Martin Ford

When something has been moulded it has been made by using a frame or container to pour a liquid inside that eventually hardens, When creating a mould one works in the negative. It is not until the process is complete and the from is released that the piece is revealed. My photo collages digitally mimic that process by often juxtaposing the positive and negative.

"Carbon atoms do not disappear when we burn them into carbon dioxide. Isotopic tracer studies show that they work their way into the very fabric of life on Earth. Some of them travel up the food chain from the atmosphere to plants to animals to our dinner plates. Roughly one-eighth of the carbon in your flesh, hair and bones recently emerged from smokestacks and tailpipes. We are not only a source of air pollution — we are air pollution, and our waste fumes will henceforth be woven into the bodies of our descendants, too."
